Dr.
Maria studied Biotechnology at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg before completing a Master's degree in Molecular Life Science at the University of Lübeck. After research stays at the Robert Koch Institute, Charité, DRFZ and the University of Glasgow with a focus on immunology and virology, she switched thematically to the biology of synapses in 2014 and started her PhD in the laboratory of Volker Haucke. After graduating in 2019, she is now working as a scientific coordinator at FMP.
