Research at the FMP is oriented along the guidelines of the Leibniz Association: we pursue a mission of scientific excellence and social relevance. As an institute primarily funded by the federal and state government, our work ultimately should be utilised for the benefit of the public. At the FMP, the best way to achieve this goal is through the identification and utilisation of potential targets for pharmaceutical intervention, aiming eventually at the development of novel therapeutic concepts.
The Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) is part of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (FVB), which legally represents seven non-university research institutes - members of the Leibniz Association - in Berlin.
