Victoria was born and raised in Berlin, but decided to move to Greifswald, a small town near the Baltic Sea, to study Biology. She continued her studies with the Master’s program Molecular Biology and Physiology, thereby discovering her interest in proteomics. After her Master’s thesis, in which she investigated the antimicrobial effect of a synthetic polymer using mass spectrometry, Victoria is now very happy to be back in the vibrant city of Berlin and part of the Fiedler research group. As a PhD student, she hopes to contribute to the group’s interdisciplinary approach to study protein pyrophosphorylation. When Victoria is not in the lab, she loves being outdoors in nature, enjoys reading books and going to concerts.
