picture of Ruslan

Ruslan Jaufmann

Born in Kazakhstan but raised by the beautiful Lake Constance, Ruslan has always had a love for both science and discovering new places. After completing his Bachelor's and Master's in Chemistry in the charming, hilly town of Tübingen, he became hooked on research. His Bachelor's thesis on lead(II) hydrides sparked his curiosity to pursue a Master's degree—this time integrating more biology and analytics into his work. This led to his Master's project, where he developed a workflow for the stereoselective analysis of a peptide via 2D-HPLC-MS. Wanting to further explore the biological side of chemistry, he joined the Fiedler Lab to find the perfect intersection between biological and analytical chemistry. When he's not in the lab, you can usually find him at a flea market, hunting for quirky treasures, or exploring new cafés and food spots in town—always in search of the next hidden gem!
