Rosa studied chemical biology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where she completed her Bachelor’s thesis with focus on enzyme technology in the group of Prof. Dr. Christof Niemeyer in 2022. During her following Master’s degree, she gained valuable insights in medicinal neurobiology as a research intern in the Group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Misgeld at the Technology University Munich in 2023. Another research stay in the Group of Dr. Daniel Priebbenow at Monash University in Melbourne in 2024 paved the way for her interest in medicinal chemistry, as well as photochemistry. For her Master’s thesis, she worked on novel emitters for medicinal applications in the group of Prof. Dr. Stefan Bräse at KIT before joining our research group in October 2025. Here, she’s focusing on the design of novel inhibitors and traceless fluorescent probes for SHP2 to contribute to a better understanding of its role in the oncogenic pathway.
