Rabih was born and raised in Berlin, where he completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry at the Humboldt University of Berlin. During his Bachelor’s studies, he worked on the development of pH nanosensors, and in his Master’s thesis in the research group of Prof. Christoph Arenz, he focused on establishing a cell-based bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) system. Alongside his studies, Rabih gained practical experience as a working student at the Berliner Wasserbetriebe and at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM). His scientific interests center on chemical biology. As a PhD candidate, he aims to elucidate the mechanism of protein pyrophosphorylation by combining chemical and biological methods. Outside the lab, he enjoys reading, staying active through sports, and exploring Berlin’s vibrant nightlife.
