Originally from Benin, Machoud moved to France to study pharmaceutical sciences at Paris Descartes University. After graduating as a pharmacist, he embarked on a Master’s degree in Molecular Chemistry at Sorbonne University. His Master’s thesis, which he completed in the Crews Lab at Yale University, involved the design and synthesis of new covalent PROTACs. Before moving to Berlin, he did a one-year industrial placement at the Medicinal Chemistry department of the Roche company. His doctoral work focuses on the design and synthesis of new allosteric modulators.
