I was born in a small city (Slatina) located in the south of Romania. In 2011 I moved to Germany, where I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s in physics at Jacobs University Bremen. In 2016, I moved to Munich and joined the lab of Prof. Matthias Rief as a PhD student. In his lab I used optical tweezers to measure the force transmission across integrins.

I now joined the lab of Prof. Sigrid Milles to continue my passion for single-molecule biophysics. Here I will use single-molecule FRET and NMR to study intrinsically disordered proteins, which play a crucial role during endocytosis.
