Solbee Choi

Solbee joined the Hackenberger lab as a postdoctoral researcher. She omes from South Korea, where she completed her PhD in chemical biology at UNIST. Before moving into chemical biology, she studied chemical engineering and materials science during her bachelor’s degree. Her interest in drugs and biological mechanisms motivated her to shift my research direction toward chemical biology. Her previous research focused on non-canonical protein phosphorylation. At the hackenberger lab, she is now studying other non-canonical phosphorylation pathways as well as small-molecule-derived protein conjugation and modification strategies. Outside the lab, Solbee enjoys traveling and reading a broad range of books, from science and philosophy to lighter reading such as comics.
