Dr.

Mónica Guberman

I am a researcher with a background in multistep synthesis of complex molecules for biological applications. I studied Chemical Sciences in the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I also worked as an undergraduate researcher at the Organic Chemistry department. I performed my doctoral research in the Synthetic Vaccines Group of Prof. Dr. Seeberger at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Potsdam, Germany). My doctoral work focused on synthesizing complex glycans for biological application as well as developing synthetic methodology, with intensive application of solid-phase, automated synthesis, and flow chemistry technologies. In August 2020 I joined the Medicinal Chemistry Group of Dr. Nazaré at the FMP to work on the design and development of heterocycle-based chemical probes for the study of sub-cellular processes, in collaboration with F. Hoffmann- La Roche.
