Dr.
Katie completed her bachelor’s degree in Manchester, including a year abroad at the University of Technology Sydney. In 2019, she moved to France to pursue a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, and Medicine at the University of Strasbourg. During this time, she undertook two internships at Servier Pharmaceutical Industry in Paris, focusing on medicinal chemistry and white biotechnology. In 2022, she began her PhD at Université Paris Cité under the supervision of Dr. Laura Iannazzo and Prof. Mélanie Etheve-Quelquejeu, where her research focused on the design and synthesis of β-lactam prodrugs and chemical tools to combat bacterial resistance. In 2026, she joined the Medicinal Chemistry research group at FMP as a postdoctoral researcher, working on the synthesis of chemical probes.
