Getting started: Three important steps to take!
FIRST STEP: All PhD students at the FMP are automatically part of the FMP Graduate School. No additional registration is required. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD at the FMP, please contact the research group leader you would like to work with directly.
SECOND STEP: Within three-six months after start of work the PhD student has to apply for admission at the doctorate office of his university. After enrolling, the university will provide you with a semester ticket, which serves as a ticket for public transportation. THIRD STEP: The members of the thesis committee and the working title of the dissertation must be chosen no later than six months after the start of the PhD. The doctoral student and the supervisor conclude a supervision agreement within the first six months. A copy of the supervision agreement can be found here.
