Good Scientific Practice

Research at the FMP is conducted in compliance with guidelines established by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the Leibniz Association and All European Academies (ALLEA):

Code of Conduct of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG): “Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice”

Code for Good Research Practice of the Leibniz Association

The European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity of All European Academies (ALLEA)

In cases of suspected scientific misconduct the FMP follows the "Rules of Procedure in Cases of Suspected Scientific Misconduct" of the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V.

Ombudsperson

The FMP elects two experienced scientists as Ombudspersons for the duration of three years, who serve as confidential contact persons for all issues dealing with good scientific practice. The Ombudspersons offer advice on general questions regarding good scientific practice, but also in cases of suspected scientific misconduct. A further proceeding in case of suspected scientific misconduct is described in the rules established by the Leibniz Association and the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V.
